Louisiana Pacific (LP) Siding
-There is a signature knot on Oriented Strand Board (OSB) Inner Seal Lap and Panel Siding.
-The class action lawsuit settlement claim deadline has passed.

Weyerhaeuser Hardboard Siding
 
-1/2” self align lap or Sure-lock is 100% pressed wood fiber.
-The knot in the wood grain pattern repeats every 61”.

-A Class Action Settlement was approved on Dec. 21, 2000.
-The deadline for claims for siding installed between Jan. 1, 1988 and Dec. 31, 1993 is Dec. 22, 2006.  For siding installed between January 1, 1994 and December 31, 1999 claims are due December 22, 2009. The deadline for claims for siding installed between January 1, 1981 and December 31, 1987 has passed.

-An Oriented Strand Board (OSB) with a toothpick-size fiber overlay.
-Omniwood is often improperly identified as LP siding.
-Class members have Omniwood siding that was installed between Jan. 1, 1992 and Jan. 14, 1998.
-Omniwood damage is defined similarly to the LP Class Action Suit definition.

Masonite Hardboard Siding

-Claim deadlines are Jan. 15, 2005 and Jan. 15, 2008, based on the installation date.

Exterior Insulated Finish System (EIFS)
 
-Synthetic stucco, a multi-layered system of styrofoam, fiberglass mesh and coatings.

-Dryvit:  A class action lawsuit settlement of January 14, 2003 provides remedies for those who as of June 5, 2002 own a dwelling with Dryvit installed after Jan. 01, 1989.  The claim deadline is June 5, 2004.  The settlement applies to:  Dryvit Outsulation, Sprint, Fastrak I, Fastrak II and Fastrak 4000.

-The claim deadline is Feb. 02, 2015.

-Re Con products sold beginning in December, 1997 are not included in the settlement.

Polybutylene(PB) Plumbing
 
-A $950 million class action suit settlement against Shell Oil provides relief for qualifying leaks:
1.  The claimant must have purchased the home after August 21, 1995,
2.  The home must contain PB plumbing installed between Jan. 01, 1978 and July 31, 1995,

Cadet and Encore Wall Heaters    
 
-Some models are considered fire hazards.  The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends replacement of recalled units.
